Only properly licensed EVE Car Members in good standing are allowed to drive EVE Car vehicles.
Family members with the same address may sign up under the same subscription and may access and utilize the vehicles, provided each person signs up and utilizes the app individually.
You may not transfer any active ride to anyone, without ending the current ride first.
In the event of a change of plans, you may cancel or reschedule your reservation at no charge or penalty.
If the vehicle is available, you may start your reservation up to 15 minutes before your reservation start time.
Smoking/vaping inside an EVE Car vehicle is absolutely prohibited.
Pets and assistance animals are prohibited, unless they are transported in locked pet carriers.
You will be subject to cleaning fees if evidence of smoking or pets is found in EVE Car vehicles.
Only begin your trip once you have completed all the pre-trip check items outlined below.
The mobile app will provide you with the information required to find your reserved Vehicle. If you cannot find your reserved Vehicle at the location specified in the mobile app, please contact Member Support immediately for assistance or to make alternate arrangements.
You may unlock your reserved vehicle through the mobile app.
Before you begin your trip, please check the exterior and interior of the Vehicle and confirm that all pre-equipped items are present. If you discover any damage or have any concerns with the Vehicle that you believe might affect its safety or operability, please report it immediately on the mobile app or by contacting Member Support. If any of the pre-equipped items are missing or damaged, please also contact Member Support immediately.
If you do not completely and accurately report to us any vehicle damage (whether inside or outside), including missing equipment or materials, already existing at the beginning of your rental period, that damage will be deemed to have occurred during your rental period and you will be charged for that damage.
Before operating the Vehicle, please familiarize yourself with the Vehicle, this Rules of Vehicle Use, and the Vehicle’s owner’s manual. If you have any questions about how to operate the Vehicle, please contact Member Support.
Before operating the Vehicle, check that it has sufficient charge levels for your anticipated trip and that no warning or indicator lights appear on the Vehicle’s dashboard. If you believe the Vehicle has insufficient charge to complete your trip, or if any of the warning or indicator lights appear in the Vehicle, or if there are any other signs that operation of the Vehicle may be unsafe, please contact Member Support to assist you.
The following restrictions and limitations apply while operating the Vehicle or during your rental period. The Vehicle shall not be:
operated by any person other than a member.
operated by any person who is not licensed to drive or whose driver’s license is suspended.
operated by any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs/medication, under the effects of which vehicle operation is prohibited or not recommended.
operated by any person who has obtained use of the Vehicle by giving false, fraudulent or misleading information or by withholding facts, or who has obtained the keys without permission.
used for commercial purposes or to carry persons (non-members) or property for hire.
used or operated for any illegal purpose; in an illegal or reckless manner; in a race or speed contest; to tow or push anything; to carry dangerous or hazardous items of any kind or nature except as allowable under law; or in a manner intended to cause injury or damage to another person or another person’s property.
used to carry passengers in excess of the number of seat belts provided by the manufacturer.
used to jump start any other vehicle.
used with tire / snow chains.
driven or taken outside of Canada and shall not be shipped or moved internationally.
driven on an unpaved road, trail or off-road.
driven or operated while using a hand-held wireless communication device that may distract you from driving.
You are responsible for choosing a safe place to secure the vehicle when not in use during the rental period.
If you park in a paid parking location (including meters), you will be responsible for parking fees.
You may use authorized charging stations only while the Vehicle is plugged in and charging.
Before ending your trip ensure that:
the Vehicle is turned off and returned to the same location where you picked it up. Failure to end your trip in the pickup location could result in additional fees and/or fines due to towing and ticketing.
the Vehicle’s owner manual is in the glove compartment;
the Vehicle is clean and tidy, and you have left none of your belongings inside;
all windows and moon-roof, doors, and the trunk are fully closed and that all lights have been turned off;
the Vehicle is returned in its original condition, except for ordinary wear and tear due to reasonable use; and
the Vehicle is locked by using the mobile app.
Your rental period ends only when the doors have locked. You are responsible for ensuring that your rental period has ended, and all accessories are switched off. Otherwise, you will have to pay the rental fees in accordance with the Rate Schedule for as long as your rental period continues.
If the Vehicle loses its charge level due to any equipment/accessory left switched on in the Vehicle before ending the trip, you will incur an additional fee depending on the state of charge of the Vehicle.

The following items are pre-equipped in all vehicles:
Electric Vehicle Charger
Scraper / Snowbrush
Phone Wires (USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB)
You are responsible for returning all pre-equipped items to the car, and the cost of any lost equipment will be charged to your credit card.
EVE Car will perform all necessary and required routine maintenance on all of its vehicles.
Atypical noises or driving feel, including but not limited to warning lamps, indicators, inappropriate or strange engine or other mechanical sounds, performance changes or unusual driving feel, must be reported as soon as noted.
If you are the victim of a hit and run collision or in case of an incident involving property damage or any third party, you must obtain an official police report.
If you accept a tow from another service without EVE Car's authorization, you may be billed for all or part of the costs arising from this decision.
In case of a flat tire, you are responsible to report it to Member Support as soon as possible and when safe to do so, bring the vehicle back to its station, or to another location as directed by an EVE Car agent. If the member has the flat tire repaired, all expenses incurred will be fully reimbursed.
You are responsible for any traffic violations incurred during your reservation, including parking, speeding, red light, and photo enforcement.
You are liable for all penalties/fees from any such violation, including fines for late payment and any processing penalties/fees added by the issuing municipality.
Any damage to the Vehicle incurred during your rental period and/or any other conditions that you believe may affect the safety and/or operability of the Vehicle; and
All traffic violation notices and parking violation notices (including from privately operated parking facilities) received during your rental period.
Any damage to the Vehicle charging adapter and plug-in cable is damaged in any way or not functioning properly.
The Vehicle will give you the approximate estimate of range and charge level.
If you estimate your trip would exceed the approximate range as per the Vehicle, you must plan to charge it off-site. If you fail to adequately charge the vehicle, you assume responsibility of the towing or other charges to return the Vehicle to its original location at EVE Park.
You are permitted to plug-in the Vehicle in any of the compatible public charging stations for topping up the charge levels. However, you are responsible for paying any charges incurred with charging stations outside of EVE Park.
Further, you must notify Member Services immediately if the Vehicle charging adapter and plug-in cable is damaged in any way or not functioning properly.
If any of the Vehicle’s warning or indicator lights come on during your rental period, or if there are any other signs that operation of the Vehicle may be unsafe, you must stop as soon as possible in a safe place and immediately contact Member Support.
DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE VEHICLE IF (a) YOU BELIEVE, (b) MEMBER SUPPORT ADVISES YOU, OR (c) THE VEHICLE’S OWNER’S MANUAL STATES, THAT THE VEHICLE IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE.
