The EVE Park Microutility is a business created to manage the renewable energy assets that power your home, and the systems that keep it comfortable. EVE Park’s utility systems - hot water heaters, heating & air conditioning (Heat Pump) and fresh-air circulation (Energy Recovery Ventilator) were carefully selected to deliver comfort while conserving energy. The EVE Park Microutility charges a monthly fee, (as outlined in the Schedule B of your Customer Services Agreement) in exchange for purchasing and maintaining these systems over time.
As an EVE Park home-owner, you gain two main advantages from this arrangement:
EVE Park generates its own electricity through the solar panels on its rooftops that capture the sunlight and convert it into electricity.
EVE Park is a Net-Zero Energy community because over the course of twelve months, the amount of electricity consumed is equal to the amount of electricity produced. It is still connected to the public grid (London Hydro), taking electricity from the grid during the night and high demand periods, and returning electricity to the grid when solar generation exceeds the EVE Park consumption. This exchange results in a credit in favour of EVE Park, which is reflected in the total common expenses of the Condo Corporation as a reduction towards your Condo Fees.
To achieve this balance, the community focuses equally on energy efficiency and renewable energy generation. The design team prioritized energy-efficient features, such as insulation, high-performance windows, efficient HVAC systems and energy-efficient appliances.
The Condo Corporation owns the electricity generated by the Solar Energy System installed on the EVE Park rooftop. EVE Park is also connected to the public grid (London Hydro), and receives a credit for all the excess energy generated during the daytime that is not used by EVE Park. This credit is applied against the common element expenses, thus reducing everyone’s condo fees.
The amount of electricity generated by the Solar Energy System varies from day to day, week to week and month to month, depending on a variety of factors: angle of sunlight, day-length, cloud cover etc. Over a 12-month period, the Solar Energy System is designed to generate an amount of electricity equivalent to the amount used by the whole community living at EVE Park.
Another interesting point: EVE Park's Solar Energy System will be working hardest at the same time air-conditioning units are putting maximum annual strain on grid electricity supplies.
Sustainable Energy Platforms (SEP) is the parent company of EVE Park Microutility - the company that owns the physical assets including solar panels, heat pumps, energy recovery ventilators.

These three systems are not owned by you as the condo owner, but rather by EVE Park Microutility, which charges a monthly fee, as outlined in Schedule B of your Customer Services Agreement. The rental charge includes the provision of the equipment as well as the maintenance, servicing and replacement over the life of the contract.
Yes, if you prefer to reduce your fixed monthly payments by purchasing some or all of the utility systems, you can do so at any time at the prices that are shared in Schedule B of your condo purchase agreement.
However, as a reminder, the benefit of the rental is that the EVE Park MU has assembled a team of qualified technicians to operate and maintain your equipment. You will not have to worry about replacements costs, and you will not need to set aside funds for eventual replacement.
There are two systems tracking your electricity consumption:
The Customer Services agreement is with you. It cannot be transferred to your tenant, but it can be transferred to a new owner should you decide to sell.
No, beside your Condo Fee, you will only get one monthly bill from EVE Park MU LP.
EVE Park is still connected to the London Hydro grid for both technical and regulatory reasons, but it only sends one bill to the Condominium Corporation. EVE Park MU manages all of the metering for you, so there will be no bill from London Hydro!
