Ontario has announced a temporary HST rebate for qualifying new-home buyers, in partnership with the federal government. For eligible purchasers at EVE Park, that may mean up to the full 13% HST rebated, subject to legislation and eligibility rules. The program lines up with our move-in ready, net-zero homes in west London.

The relief covers both principal residences and qualifying residential rental properties, and is subject to statutory conditions and timing rules. Here is how the announced structure would apply to EVE Park, subject to the final legislation and to purchaser eligibility.

Up to $130,000 in HST relief

Full HST relief on the first $1,000,000 of the purchase price, subject to eligibility.

How the rebate is expected to be triggered

Based on the announcement, the rebate is expected to be tied to the signing of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale rather than the closing date. The announcement indicates the APS would need to be signed between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027. EVE Park's homes are built today, which the announced construction timelines would support. The final trigger, qualifying conditions, and timing rules will be governed by the legislation once enacted. Buyers should confirm eligibility with their own legal and tax advisors before relying on the rebate.
